Re: -The Kitchen-

Zahnt stepped into the kitchen, looked around for a moment, then grabbed a pot and set it on one of the counters. He then swiftly walked over to the fridge, and pulled out a gallon of water. The man went back over to the pot, and poured some of the water in. Then back to the fridge, to put the water away. And back to the pot, which he picked up and set on the stovetop. He reached a hand below the pot and turned the burner on. As he waited for the water to begin to boil, Zahnt opened one of the cupboards and found a box of mostaccioli to cook. He set it down next to the stove, and reached up to the cupboard again to pull out a big bowl, and a cutting board. He swung the door of the cupboard shut, and looked at the water in the pot. It was starting to boil now, so he grabbed the box of pasta, opened it, and put the pasta into the water. His next stop was the fridge, where he pulled out some lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and cheese. He dumped everything he had in his arms on the counter, and grabbed the lettuce first. Placing it on top of the cutting board, he reached down to open a drawer and pulled a knife out. He began chopping the lettuce, and once he was done, put it into the bowl. Next came the tomatoes, then the carrots, then the cucumbers. After all those were in the bowl, he threw the knife like a spear over into the sink, and grabbed a cheese grater out of the drawer, and began adding cheese to the salad. Zahnt threw the cheese grater into the sink to join the knife, then ran back to the fridge and grabbed salad dressing, and put some on the salad. He then set the bowl aside, and grabbed pasta sauce from the fridge, put it in a bowl, and put it in the microwave. Zahnt looked at the pasta, and turned off the burner. As he waited, he got some special salad serving things and put them in the salad bowl. He rushed over and opened the microwave door just before it beeped, grabbed the sauce bowl, and set it down on the counter. "Cooking is done" he said, turning to look at Kirith.

Re: -The Kitchen-

Post by Kirith on Mon Nov 24, 2014 12:25 am

As Kirith entered the kitchen, she cooed at the nostalgia of all the metal objects. The pans, the stoves. Everything. She felt a weak scent of a fire, and ashes as she slowly walked around the kitchen, looking at all the various things. She stared at a big metal pot with curious eyes, and touched the bottom of it with the tips of her fingers. They became black from old soot, but she quickly dusted them clean with her other hand. Kirith felt Azul climb onto her head, and make this "Kraagh!" sound, as he jumped up towards the top of the pot. He had no problem of reaching it, and he was now hanging after his legs, trying to haul himself up.
Kirith being too short to actually reach the top of the pot herself, growled slightly.
"Azul... Get down. You'll make a mess in Zahnt's kitchen!" She said, and held her hand up for him to jump down on.
Azul however, had other plans. He wanted to go exploring. And so he did. He walked along the edge of the pot, and jumped onto one of the shelves. He pushed things that came in his route away, as he kept walking around, looking down at the two humans on the ground.
Kirith sighed, and turned to look at Zahnt who was putting on a marvelous display of cooking skills. She smiled as she saw him prepare pasta with salads, and a sauce. It seemed just like him... In a way. Kirith wanted to help out, but the man scurried so fast back and forth, the woman was nearly unable to keep track of what exactly he was doing at what time. She took a step back, and placed her hands on her back. She would probably just be in the way if she tried to interfere, so she decided to wait patiently for her Master to finish his art. She looked around for Azul, but he was nowhere to be seen as the Lord of Shadows spoke again.
"Oh. Magnificent work, my Lord. I should have helped you though." She said and tilted her head ever so slightly at the man.

Zahnt gave a single nod in thanks to Kirith's compliment. "Of course, my Mistress." knowing that the table was already set and ready for them, Zahnt grabbed the pot that the pasta was in, and the bowl of sauce. "Kirith, could you get that salad for me?" the man asked, as he already has his hands full. He had seen the little dragon from earlier fly off while he was cooking, but considering the way he reacted to the word "food" Zahnt guessed that he would follow the food he and Kirith had in their hands. The two pine marten sisters on The Lord's shoulders were very eager about the food as well. Arsinoe crept down Zahnt's arm towards the pasta he was holding, hoping to sneak a bit into her mouth. "Arsinoe." The animal scampered back up onto Zahnt's shoulder when she heard his voice. She had no choice but to wait patiently; she knew that Zahnt would offer her some once they were at the table. For now, the two eliminators walked to the dining room, which was attached to the kitchen.

Kirith nodded at him, and picked up the bowl of salad, holding it firmly in her hands. She looked around for her pet, wondering where he had gone while she didn't watch over him. Kirith walked around for a moment, trying to get her eyes on the reptile. "Azul?~" She called out in a hypnotizing tone. But the dragon did not show himself. Kirith held the bowl in one hand, and placed her other on her hip while looking around. She concentrated about sound, trying to catch the sound of his claws or something, but she wasn't able to hear anything. He had probably left the room. She sighed, and walked towards the dining room where Zahnt was waiting for her.
But Azul had been watching her the whole time. He was just waiting, hidden, for his moment to jump her. He also thought the tomatoes in the bowl was some kind of meat. It was red, after all! And as Kirith walked by, he once again, made his "KRAAGH~" -sound as he jumped from the shelf he was on, and onto Kirith's arms, in hopes of getting some of the food.
Kirith, for once, was caught off guard, and stumbled across the floor towards dining room.
